I dont think ill ever get over this film, makes me laugh uncontrollably, but i wont understand how it got a rating of 55%?!

A hilarious film with non-stop laughs. John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell are a perfect comedic duo.

I think the plot in Step Brothers is adequate purposefully. I expect nothing less then absolute hilarity from producer Judd Apatow. He delivers this with Step Brothers, one of the most silly, immature, hilarious films of all time.

Not exactly the best of films (or the best of scripts) but I really like this simply because it's about growing up but still being young at heart and chasing your dreams. It's funny (most of the time) and is just such an easy and cheerful watch. A lot of 'comedies' have really sa... read mored or bad parts but this is just relaxing all round. When I first saw Step Brothers I wasn't sure If I liked it or not. The more I saw it I realized it is probably one of the funniest and most quote movies I have ever seen. Its plot is nothing exciting but Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly's chemistry is spot on which makes this movi... read moree hilarious throughout.

'Step Brothers' is one of the better comedies of the past few years that works due to Will Ferrell and John C. Reiley, who ad-lib throughout, which is much smarter than the scripted moments. However, I do find this a very funny and well-memorable comedy that is perfect for multip... read morele viewings.

Very funny but dumb as hell. When their parents get married, two 40 year olds named Brennan and Dale (Will ferell, John C Reilly) who still live with their parents become Step Brothers, and are at first enemies, but soon realize they are the perfect allies who will create hell f... read moreor their family. Will Ferell and John C. Reilly are the perfect comedy duo. The plot is so dumb, no point to it at all. Overall, I always enjoy this, but it has no point at all, and I will always love Will Ferells films.

Will Ferrell remains funny despite this awkward movie consisting of a pair of 40 year old stepbrothers.

Dale Doback: Brennan you're alive! Oh my God!
Brennan Huff: I know. I'm alive.
Dale Doback: You were dead. I saw you die.
Brennan Huff: I was faking. I used ninja focus to slow my heart rate down.

Although obviously stupid, Step Brothers is a funny movie at times. The first ... read moretime I saw it I hated it. It's grown on me a bit and it does have some laugh out loud scenes. It's the same type of role for Will Farrell so if you find him funny you'll like and if you don't you will hate it. Although I still don't think it's even a good movie; I can still sit through the whole movie after multiple viewings. Hopefully John C. Reilly gets back to making movies like Criminal, and I think Cyrus was a step in the right direction. He's a really good actor. Funny, but it's not a must watch by any means.

Don't watch it on an airplane, don't check it out on cable, don't walk past the bargain basement bin where it's been sold.

There's a good subject for satire here, the extended adolescence of American kids. But satire presupposes maturity, or at least some perspective. Full Review

The concept is inherently funny, but the plot grows thin and the laughs grow fewer once the premise is established. Full Review
