A crazy movie! Jason Lee was good as the poor husband who promised to pay for his niece's education, whilst his wacky gift-basket-making wife wants him to invest the same money in a new home. Jason Lee's character must turn to his half-insane old friend Duff (Tom Green - who wasn... read more

In Stealing Harvard, Jason Lee plays John Plummer, a man who makes a promise to his niece (Tammy Blanchard) that he would pay for her first year in Harvard University costing approximately $30000. Coincidentally, he has saved up exactly 30,000 dollars over the years, but unfortun... read more

I'm not really a Tom Green fan, but I like damn near everyone else in the cast and it was directed by Bruce McCulloch, so I watched it. It was good, I'd recommend it.

a funny film it is kind of like a weird bank robbery comedy I mean it is a funny film though it may seem odd but it's funny and it's filled with some great humor that had entertained me

It may be unlawful and stupid but I like it when John and Duff save $30,000 for John's dream house and another $30,000 for his niece's college tuition. And when they're Stealing Harvard, I find a memorable liquor store robbery hilarious.

Critic Reviews
The timing in nearly every scene seems a half beat off. Full Review
Depressingly thin and exhaustingly contrived. Only masochistic moviegoers need apply. Full Review
It's bland and that's the worst thing a comedy can be. Full Review
A shambling, incoherent story ... manages to abuse both Mr. Lee's good nature and his comic gift. Full Review
Chronicles lame crimes poorly imagined, unplanned, wretchedly executed, with little wit or surprise.
Tom Green and an Ivy League college should never appear together on a marquee, especially when the payoff is an unschooled comedy like Stealing Harvard, which fails to keep 80 minutes from seeming lik... Full Review
Director Bruce McCulloch packs every scene with visual gags and his Kids in the Hall satiric touch is all over this movie. Full Review
It's not enough to say that Green isn't funny in Stealing Harvard -- that might leave the impression that Green simply isn't funny in comparison to other comedians. No, it's bigger than that. Full Review
Stealing Harvard is evidence that the Farrelly Bros. -- Peter and Bobby -- and their brand of screen comedy are wheezing to an end, along with Green's half-hearted movie career. Full Review
