Muddled pointless drama with an overacting Jones and a curiously blank Clift. Heavily edited film makes little sense and offers no real involvement in it's story as it jumps without much cohesion from one point to another.

I understand the stage version is better. I liked the drama but was a little slow moving. Jones and Clift were great.

It was mostly disturbing and old fashioned. A woman that cheats on her husband with an abusive man. At the end you are left wondering why you sat through the whole thing.
