Almost four years later, Gabriel was released and moved to Austin, TX, to escape the temptations of his old life in Chicago. There, he began pursuing boxing again as a diversion, and a local trainer talked him into fighting professionally. Shockingly, he won against older, professional fighters, time and again, and gradually rose through the ranks to become a top contender.
