For me, the 1970s Spider-Man live action movies were great fun. I looked back on it with a lot of fondness and nostalgia. Someone unfamiliar with the series may not like it, but then again, you might if you know what to expect.

FAR too many story lines going on at once.
In this movie, there is Spiderman, Mary Jane, Gwen Stacey, "New" Goblin Venom and Sandman. Each character is given the bare amount of time for development. -

It was an ok films with great effects. Short on story. It went on about 20 mins too long.
I hate Tobey. I hated him when I knew him, and I hate that that closet ... Gets to do what he does. -

I remember these crappy live-action no CGI movies from the 70s. I found it hilarous watching Peter Parker wearing bell-bottomed jeans and sporting a white Afro.

If the Spider-Man TV series ever gets released on DVD, I will buy it no questions asked. The special effects are a joke next to the Sam Raimi films, but I don't care. Don't mess with my nostalgia.
