One of the more ridiculous films I've ever seen. When it comes to "airplane comedies", the original "Airplane" from the 70's comes to mind. This to me is the industry standard and any aviation comedy that is released will be judged in comparison. "Soul Plane" has some entertainin... read more

I had the extreme misfortune to watch this. It is in my list of the worst 5 movies ever (Juno tops it). It is not funny at all and is boring as hell. My brother and mum think it's hilarious, but they're idiots.

snoop dogg as a pilot smoking blunts and shit was enough alone to keep me laughing thru this surprisingly funny movie

Somewhat entertaining, retarded, and full of black stereotypes. I admit that I laughed at some parts but at the same time I shook my head and hoped it would end soon. Glad I didn't pay to go see it.

Blaxsploitation led by blacks, eh? If all you hear and see is stereotypical nonsense, it's only evident that you'll act just like your peers. In this case, if you watch this movie dozens of times (and surround yourself with thug posers and slutty hoodrats) you'll have no troubl... read more

It will be so hard to out-stereotype this film; but it's all fine, because that's all they were aiming for.

This movie just relies on stereotypical jokes for a laugh. It's not offering anything new or smart in it's humor, but it did made me laugh a lot. Not meant to be taken seriously by all means.
Critic Reviews
An hour and a half of real airplane turbulence is better than sitting through the bad, offensive material that makes up Soul Plane. Full Review
Makes up for what it lacks in genuine humor by overdosing viewers with outrageous sexuality and outsize stereotypes. Full Review
Sloppy, uneven, vulgar, lowbrow and often very funny, Jessy Terrero's debut movie might be called Airport Car Wash Scary Movie. Full Review
A better- than-average comedy that is raunchy and tasteless but ultimately funny from beginning to end. Full Review
Soul Plane is about 'the first urban' (black) airline, whose motto is 'We fly. We party. We land.' They left out 'We potty.' Full Review
Movies like Soul Plane give bad taste a bad name. Full Review
This one-joke comedy vehicle is flying through a laugh-free zone.
If it's not funny to you that a bunch of white passengers in polo shirts would say 'Oh, goody!' when they hear the in-flight movie stars Sandra Bullock, then don't bother with the rest of Soul Plane. Full Review
