A very interesting Rom Com, not a perfect one, but Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton make this a wonder and a treat and is considered one of my favorite Diane Keaton films.

When it comes to romantic comedies you really can't do any better than Nancy Meyers' "Something's Gotta Give." Meyers is the queen of the genre because she understands what makes it truly work. Meyers proves that with wonderfully likable actors playing wonderfully ironic characte... read more

Director Nancy Meyers is no stranger to romantic comedies. In fact, it's her forte and your never left in any doubt as to what a film of hers will consist of. This is no different, but does have the added bonus of a more than watchable cast.

As a playwright, I am offended by the vapid revenge play Diane Keaton's character, Erica Barry, a "successful playwright," writes. Personal issues aside, the characters lack any true motivation. They just play a game of romantic musical chairs. Oh Keanu Reeves. Just don't ope... read more

This film is just too charming and fun to dislike it. This type of movie isn't my thing, but the chemistry and acting, and characters make it too loveable. It does lose some steam around the 90 minute mark or so, but it recovers enough to keep the film afloat. Worth seeing, wheth... read more

Filmed in the Hamptons (Gosh I miss home). I am glad I didn't see this in the Movie theater as I would have been thrown out for laughing so loud and hard. I never have laugh so much for one movie. Diane Keaton is one beautiful lady. She plays her part with gusto. No one other the... read more

Ms. Keaton projects her wondrously warm personality, and the erstwhile Jake Gittes keeps us entertained with a sense of irony that keeps things from getting too sticky. Full Review
A comedy of manners (and mannerisms) with two of the most mannered movie stars of our time, Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson, acting all over the place until you surrender with the ecstasy of pure plea...
The movie itself reveals nothing, but it's entertaining. Full Review
Something's Gotta Give is exactly the kind of 'adult' dreck that you'd expect to see on Broadway.
In a rare -- if not entirely convincing -- bow to older audiences, Something's Gotta Give teams Nicholson with Diane Keaton in a romantic comedy that's funnier than it is trenchant.
The film Meyers has fashioned is generally quite amusing, with a brilliant cast.
Meyers's movie is too well done to call it anything but good entertainment.
There's a lot of pleasure in watching seasoned pros like Nicholson and Keaton do their pas de deux of late-blooming romance. Full Review
While there's a lot to be said for a serious deep-think piece, and a raw, independent film can be invigorating, nothing quite matches a slick, gleaming Hollywood production when it's done right -- and... Full Review
