This movie is just an attempt to get in on the succes of Basic Instinct. It's the same thing....without the talented filmmaking. It's watchable....But nothing more. I liked the ending though....But that's not what they planned...so I can't give them credit for it.

Rarely rises above "stupid" Exposed Esztherhas' lack of talent; Stone's inability to play vulnerable and Baldwin's lack of appeal.

"Sliver" is somewhat effective in two different areas that it tries to be effective in. Sharon Stone is known to be in a lot of erotically effective movies. "Sliver" tries to be real effective both in the suspense department and in the eroticism department. Does it fulfill in the... read more

To think that back in those days Stone could be in any shitty film, and yet, you would see it just for her tits.

More trashy exploitation in the same vein as Basic Instinct and Fatal Attraction. Tasteless.

Director Phillip Noyce's camera will leer at anything that clenches and unclenches with a steady rhythm. Full Review
A glossy, trashy psychological thriller that manages to entertain despite a reshot ending which is too abrupt.
A hot follow-up to "Basic Instinct"....just as sizzling
Horrible.
Stone and Noyce fall from grace.
'You like to watch don't you'... that may be true, but I would have liked watching even more if I were watching something better. Full Review
Sliver has a few mildly memorable moments, but is for the most part a waste of time. It is indicative of the poor career choices Sharon Stone made once she became a household name.
Silly title aside, Sliver does have, at its best, one of the most unconventional endings in recent memory. At its worst, it's just not very interesting. Full Review
