Excellent cheese-tastic B-movie horror. There is no story, there is just amusing 1 liners and a cast who know how to ham it up more than miss piggy. Nathan Fillion is of course excellent yet again.... of course by now he should be by now, always playing the same character in ev... read more

The damned aliens from space again (dammit! why don't they just leave us alone!) in this slimy, gross out dramedy that winks at you as much as a bad girl in a worst movie. Fun.

If you've see Night of the Creeps, then in a way, you've seen Slither. The film focuses on slug like alien that turn people into zombies, very much like Creeps. The film however is different enough to be a totally refreshing horror going experience. The film is a horror comedy th... read more

Sheriff Bill Pardy: Don't let them in your mouth!
'Slither' is the best B-movie horror film since Sam Raimi's 'The Evil Dead'. 'Slither' is a twisted, gory, yet well-excecuted homage film, with sharp direction from acclaimed writer/director James Gunn (SUPER, Dawn of the Dead), ... read more -
May 19, 2011fb732260458A refreshing homage to the glory days of the cheap, cheesy 80's horror flicks, Slither is absolutely hilarious in its execution - not only in the ridiculous, B-movie set pieces and gross-out moments, but also by the worthless banter and creative one-liners from the redneck charac... read more

Loaded with tons of revolting gore (courtesy of some great special effects) and a few awesome Easter eggs (music cues from Predator, ftw), Slither is a fun, wild, and pretty entertaining horror comedy homage to the schlocky delights of the late 1970s/1980s from the early works of... read more

There's a nice sense of humor at work here but the gore is off putting. A little less graphic depiction and this would have been a fun scare flick.

James Gunn used to work for Troma and it shows. It's like watching an 1980's horror film but it was made in 2006! It's all good fun though.

Rides the borderline between trying to be serious and funny and therefore fell flat. It was not funny at all, not scary whatsoever, and boring for the first half until something happens. It's decent from that half way point on, but it came far too late.

Good clean family fun. A mix of zombie movie, alien movie, and Brian Yuzna monster effects movie. And no good horror movie is complete without an evil deer attack.
Critic Reviews
The problem with making a smart horror parody -- and James Gunn's Slither is a smart horror parody -- is that it's kind of like doing a virtuoso performance of 'My Way.' The skill of execution tends t... Full Review
Slither is a labor of love made by a horror aficionado who knows just when to tweak the tropes. Full Review
Like Tremors, only ickier, Slither is a tongue-in-cheek horror flick that skewers the genre while delivering seat-squirming scares.
This writing-directing debut from the guy who concocted that rip-off known as Dawn of the Dead isn't that scary, and it isn't nearly as funny as he seems to think it is. Full Review
It's strictly a fun B-movie horror, on the order of Tremors, that somehow got released by a major studio. Full Review
If the horror scenes are formulaic, the audience will eat up the many jokey interludes the way the zombies feast on possum.
In a year that is heavily front-loaded with horror movies, Slither is easily the best in the class. Full Review
Slither is seriocomic horror, alternating laughs with gooey, creepy scares. Full Review
