Not as good as the first one, and it changes actresses for the lead role, but I liked it anyway. It's a good horror movie for the late 80s, not great but fun and enjoyable for 80s fans in particular.

As much as I like terrible horror movies, this one just didn't work for me. I'm not quite sure why.

Sleepaway Camp II has even more silliness than the first film. Stripping away the more "serious" overtones of the first, Unhappy Campers takes on a whole new approach to this tongue in cheek series. The film is simply a riot from start to finish, and Pamela Springsteen (sister of... read more

Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers is one of my all time favourite horror films it has just the right amount of jokes and blood in it to satisfy almost anyone. I can see where some might be turned of by it's ultra cheap look, but hey thats what makes it so good. Michael Simpson do... read more

As cheesy as the first, but ever so slightly better acted (that?s not really hard to accomplish!).
Five years later, it?s marginally better and has changed the main character (who is really annoying) and they have introduced some over the top nudity. Still you can see here,... read more -

Pure fun! The death count is high. This is a comedy horror, as Angela returns many years later as a camp counsellor to torture the bad kids. This movis is a classic. Better than the first, because of the amount of creative killings and funny dialogue. It's a fun alternative to Fr... read more

When Angela drowned the girl in the outside toilet I was almost amused for a second but nothing in this film was all that memorable. It seems it was made with hardly any budget at all so don't expect to see any cutting edge gore in this one.

Probably then best in the Sleepaway Camp series, has a good mix of all things for a slasher film. Very different death scenes.

Don't worry about turning off the lights or listening out for the creaking stairs, Sleepaway Camp II doesn't even try to be scary or tense. Instead, the second instalment in this campground slasher series is content to 'camp' everything up to 11 and play it almost entirely... read more

December 29, 2011fb100000185301014The sequel takes on a different tone that focused on the most important two elements in horror films: Sex and Death. It's really entertaining, all of the deaths were great (campy however) plus there's are comedic elements that worked just fine.
Critic Reviews
bunch af great death scenes in a lackluster flick
You'll never look at an outhouse the same way again. Full Review
On a 'normal movie' scale, it'd rate Sleepaway Camp II pretty damn low, but the healthy body count and copious gore rates this a "Must-See" for any self-respecting horror freak. Full Review
Unhappy Campers is like a good prank, one that is unfortunately ruined by an obvious wink. Full Review
