A very sweet youth love film. It came highly recommended but for me it?s nowhere near as good as the two films Moodysson followed it up with. The young actors are really good though and it can't help but make you feel good.

Realism, frivolous beauty and a caressing miracle in the routine of a Swedish small town, where the context of lesbianism is treated in utmost subtlety and openness.Moodysson is aware of his raw themes (remember Lilja 4-Ever) and I should cry out art-house cinema forever!

Bittersweet coming-of-age film dealing with conformity and peer pressure. Has its share of flaws (especially the aesthetics and the minor characters) but it's too darn cute and endearing for me not to like it.

Best movie about teenagers I've seen since Dazed and Confused. Two girls go lezbo in highschool. And because the director is a deeply religious Christian, you can watch it guilt-free!
Moodysson could teach Wes Anderson A LOT about using pop/rock music on your soundtrack. -

For me, when watching this movie, one has to keep in mind any other teen-love movies you might have seen. Heck, ALL teen movies are fair game. Then, when watching this movie, notice how those other movies begin to crumble under their own stupidity, and jump off large cliffs like ... read more

High school, small town, teenagers in hormone hell -- or is that heaven? Full Review
A completely charming reality-based romantic fantasy, both sweet-natured and sympathetic. Full Review
What keeps us watching are Liljeberg and Dahlström, both beautifully natural, and the hope that we'll get to see them together. Full Review
Right away this film grabs attention with documentary-style close- ups and upends teen movie cliches. Full Review
One of the most honest and heartfelt teen dramas ever to grace the screen. Full Review
The film has some charm and a winning simplicity but not an iota of depth. Full Review
Moodysson creates a fictional world that has all the aesthetic rawness and grittiness of a documentary.
