Much better upon my second viewing of it...now that I'm not "out of it" whilst watching. Mostly, the cinematography is what saves this film in all aspects. It really makes the movie flow with a unique style that was created with the first installment. Although, here it is a bit m... read moreore used over the thin story. Also, I think that Noomi Rapace was under used here and was part of the marketing for this film..."come see the original Girl With the Dragon Tattoo with Sherlock Holmes" this however is a let down in that sense.. she is quite different from her character in that series.. here we have her playing a more relaxed and slighty even boring role. But again the atmosphere of this one really accounts for it's flaws. It's hard not to love this film even though not much love was put into it's writing. Either way, I am a fan of this guilty pleasure upon my second viewing.

The sequel was much better than the original one .. This was great and then every Moriarty Vs Sherlock is AMAZING!!! it was great , he was a true villain who can present a true challenge..The whole plot was very good , the acting is amazing , the directing was great , I really li... read moreked the two fight stimulation at the end even they didn't do it but it was great .I have to compare it to the modern Sherlock on BBC , it was a real challenge , the most anticipated series of the year only 3 episode per year till now , the Sherlock character there is remarkable , Robert Downey Jr may excel in the funny parts , the action sequence but dealing with the intelligence and the detective work BBC is the winner , the two Watson her and there are nearly the same .Earlier this year BBC finished the second season and it was also dealing with Moriarty , they went to faking his own death scenario and they haven't explained it so you can imagine the anticipation for the next premiere next year to know how he did it beside there was a real reason for faking his own death there , but here in the movie I don't know why he did it , it couldn't make any sense , maybe missing with his friends but it holds no value here .In many way the BBC beats the movie , but this was very good even better than the first one and so I like it and give it an 8.5/10

I've been looking forward to the sequel for quite some time. I loved the first movie, because Robert and Jude make a hilarious team.
In this movie their chemistry is still awesome and the movie had a lot of funny moments and also a good pack of action. I loved the slow mo shots i... read moren the escaping in the forest scene and also when Sherlock and Moriarty fall off the building. However the story of this sequel wasn't very convincing. Especially after watching the British TV series 'Sherlock', I feel like this 'case' doesn't have enough mystery around it and it doesn't surprise the audience much either. That's the main reason I can't give it a higher rating.
The sequel is definitely enjoyable, but not as good as the first one.

    Hollywood sucks...
Weak plot, just an excuse to have explosions, punches and cliché action,
no mystery, no inteligence, i guess they only take the name Sherlock Holmes as a brand they trust, and get more money out of it, no respect for the original characters... and the plot is s... read moreo bad, that don't give you any reason to keep watching it, revolting...

Benedict Cumberbatch or RDJ? Whomever you prefer is up to you, but both have placed an excellent spin on the role. Regardless, this movie falls to utilize RDJ's charm to its full potential, throwing away an intellectual mystery in return for a violent medley of poorly mixed scene... read mores. All blame goes to Guy Ritchie.

I've seen it twice now, it's more fun than the first film. If they don't make a third, it wouldn't be a loss.

It was a good film with a fairly decent plot line... but didn't hold my son's attention!

A silly yet enjoyable movie that continues to portray Holmes as a modern action hero. It doesn't try anything new compared to the previous chapter, going for a safe plot that is never daring. Even so, it is a lot of fun, with an exciting mind battle as the climax.
