I didn't hate this movie. I mean, Seth Green (mostly) pulls off a delightfully passive-aggressive Amish; James Marsden, a decidedly homophobic douche bag; and Clark Duke, possibly the funniest character in the film, if one of the least believable (but I wouldn't necessarily blame... read more

This movie was funny. I didnt know if this was going to be just another bad teen sex comedy or if it was actually going to be funny. I really liked the movie. James Marsden as Rex was hilarious and did a good job at playing the asshole older brother. The title explains whats the ... read more

Okay, so I watched the unrated version even though there was a disclaimer to watch the theatrical release first. I guess I should have listened to the disclaimer... Might have been better that way. It was alright but not funny and/or cute enough for me to watch again.

Your basic run of the mill teen sex comedy. It's not very good and there are very few laughs. It's very predictable as well.
Seth Green brings the only laughs in the whole movie. -

Easily, One of the funniest movies of 08'!!
I loved every minute of this movie!! If you are looking for a non-stop constantly-falling-out-of-your-seat film, then Sex Drive is perfect for you. It is an instant teen comedy classic, in my books. James Mardsen and Seth Green steals ... read more -
January 13, 2010fb733768972I walked into this movie thinking it was just going to be another bad comedy, but it wasn't, and I'm calling it the Superbad of 2008!

Inane supposed comedy, crass and tasteless. What is James Marsden doing in this junk?

Actually pretty funny, but I think it's because they had people like Clark Duke, James Marsden and Seth Green. The lead was just such a moron that it was hard to feel sorry for him and I almost begin to get joy from him getting played like a fiddle. It had some good original mome... read more
Critic Reviews
Some jokes work, some don't and, frankly, I can't remember either, but it leaves a sweet aftertaste. Slight, but sweet. Full Review
The comedy is uniformly crude and lewd, some of it works and some of it's lame. Full Review
There should be some kind of law that if you're going to make an incredibly derivative, violent and vulgar teen comedy then it must also be funny. Full Review
Sex Drive may slather on the gross-out humor, but underneath it has a heart. Full Review
While it elicits a few laughs, Sex Drive has little to ignite either the comic road-trip genre or the teen-sex romp. Full Review
The title Sex Drive is a pun about a road trip in search of nooky, but it's also an apt image of what it's like to be a teen guy. You're the car. The stick shift is driving you. Full Review
Just slightly funnier than you'd expect, this dashed-off teen comedy cribs from a thousand other movies, without coming up with anything original of its own. Full Review
It brings a welcome intelligence and an ensemble of really cool, funny actors to the age-old subject manner. Full Review
Formulaic doesn't necessarily mean lifeless, and Sean Anders, who directs (and co-wrote the script), hits a number of bits just right. Full Review
