A former high school basketball star gets a second shot at life when he's miraculously transformed into a teenager and offered the opportunity to redefine his future. Back in 1989, Mike O' Donnell (Ma... read more read more...tthew Perry) had it all; not only was the 17-year-old senior the king of the basketball court, but college scouts were circling as well. But just as Mike's future began to glow brighter than ever before, he sacrificed everything in order to stay by his expectant girlfriend, Scarlet, and be a good father. Nearly 20 years later, Mike has just been passed over for a big promotion at work, his marriage is failing, and his teenage kids can't stand him. His dreams long gone and his family falling apart, Mike takes to staying with his best friend, Ned (Thomas Lennon), a former high school geek-turned-techno billionaire. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Mike is transported back into his teenage body and given the given the unique opportunity to relive his salad days. But while Mike may look 17 again, his thirtysomething outlook at life puts him hopelessly at odds with the class of 2009. When Mike discovers that by attempting to recapture his best years he could risk losing all the best things he ever experienced in life, the time comes to make a decision that could have a drastic impact on both his past and his future. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Mike is getting divorced as his wife is fed up with him for blaming her for getting pregnant when they were in school. He has resented his whole life since, as when he was a teenager he was popular in school with great potential in basketball. It seems strange that Matthew Perry ... read more(Friends) would play a dad of two teenage children. He returns to his school and meets a janitor who grants his wish to return to his youth. He is stuck in his 17 year old hot body. He realises he wants his wife and family back and sets out to win them back. At 17 he is played by the dashing Zac. Efron Very cute! Not the most original storyline but fun none the less. It's a bit like Back to the Future meets 13 again.

A lot of great messages in this film about not conforming to the ways that others want you to & the bumps that happen along the way. In my opinion this is Zac Efron's best movie & by the looks of Charlie St. Cloud & this movie, Zac Efron's success will continue. And that's exactly what he gets when he wakes up one morning to find he's 17 years old again. With his adult mind stuck inside the body of a teenager (Zac Efron), Mike actually has the chance to reverse some decisions he wishes he'd never made. But maybe they weren't so bad after all.

My Thoughts: "This was the first movie I have seen with Zac Efron, he did really well. Love Matthew Perry, think he's funny. Zac was really funny in this movie. I thought it was a good comedy. Leslie Mann is one of the funniest chic's in todays films. She awesome and now one of my favs. Zac did a great performance playing a character who was much more then his yrs. I wasn't sure at first when I saw at the begining with him doing a dance number with the cheerleaders (not into those highschool musical movies). But it turned out to be entertaining.

Right up there with some of my favourite films, purely on the fact that everytime I have watched this it's made me cry uncontrolably. This movie was much better than I expected. I am not the target demographic, but still enjoyed it! No Oscar performances, but it is fun and does what a movie should do... it entertains.

I wanted to like this movie, and I got what I expected.

I was feeling to see this kind of film, and I jumped on the occasion, because it usually doesn't interest me at all.

It was bad. We've already seen all of this before. But I was pleased. The End.

I enjoyed more than I thought I would that's for sure. Had me laugh out loud quite a bit. With ideas along the lines of Back to the future, 13 going on 30 although in reverse it creates some scenes that are funny. It has a decent storyline keeping it altogether as well. This is only an excuse for Zac Efron to take his shirt off! Terrible!
