Sixteen-years have passed since Ms. Park's students graduated, and now they have learned that the woman who formed the foundation of their education is about to perish. Upon arriving at the remote cottage the group is overwhelmed by emotion, but happiness soon turns to anger as the dangerous alcoholics, insecure bulimics, and self-absorbed plastic-surgery addicts begin to realize that it was Ms. Park's peculiar teaching style that set them all down a deeply dysfunctional path. As old grudges come flaming back to life and long-buried secrets gradually begin to surface, the once-happy gathering turns into a nightmare rampage of death driven by deep-rooted childhood rage. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Asian slasher film. Nothing really new, or original.
  • May 21, 2011
The film begins with a number of bodies being found. The lone survivor then explains the previous days' events. We see a story of a dying teacher meeting some of her old students. It all seems to be going well, until we realize each ex-student holds a grudge against their teacher... read more for an event/comment she made. It's great to see how such small moments can stay with a child for a lifetime, and how they can shape the person that child will become. It also emphasizes the need to forgive. The teacher doesn't always recall these memories, as they were just fleeting moments to her. It's about responsibility and how we should treat others, as well as empathy. Soon the shit hits the fan. Did I forget to mention the teacher had a disfigured son that was always locked in the basement? The film does well at mixing character drama with slasher horror, but is also a bit dramatic at times. A man hangs himself to Moonlight Sonata for example. There is also some questionable camera work, during dialog scenes it just zooms in and out from the speakers face, no reason for this, just very distracting. The final twist is obvious but does well to fit into the themes being discussed.

I may have to watch this again since I don't think I fully "got" it...
Otherwise it's a well-paced, well-developed Korean slasher/whodunit movie with some serious twists throughout.

Not that really intriguing, and scary. Bloody Reunion wasted it's chance to be a great slasher with it's good premise. The ending was disappointing and lazy.

"Bloody Reunion" is not your typical Asian horror film. There are no ghosts or spirits; it is clearly influenced by American slasher films. The plot is standard 1980's slasher fare as the former students of an elementary school gather at her home for a reunion with their "beloved... read more" teacher. We soon find out what psychological damage the bad teacher has inflicted on her students.
The film was very compelling to watch, visually good, nicely shot and of course! it has gore.
Overall, it weaves a puzzling, frightening, psychological and surprising blanket of terror. At the end, it jumps into your conciousness and leaves you unnerved.

Talk about revenge...this movie is full of it. The last 30 minutes made the film. You'll have to watch it to see what I'm talking about! If you like Asian horror films especially Japanese and Korean ones...you'll like this one.

Great gory Korean horror flick with a really nasty streak. The story of a bunch of students visiting their kindly old teacher, only to be picked off one by one by a psycho in a bunny mask. Who could it be? What's with all the students and teacher's past? Why is everyone so me... read moressed up? Some of those questions may be answered, but you are going to have a great time watching this excellent horror flick.

This is about as close to an Asian slasher flick you'll get. In ways it is very reminiscent of early 80's Horror flicks like Jason or Sleepaway Camp. The story is simple but yet intriguing. The film than takes you through a series of murders each more horrid than the next. This g... read moreoes on for awhile, and if the film was just this, I would have probably liked it less. But just when you thought you've figured it out, the film twists into a way that you don't expect. And is pleasantly surprising. But the story kind of just stops and the viewer is left with a lot of unanswered questions. The genuine scares and gore it self is nicely done still left me well satisfied in the end.

Bloody Reunion is another Asian film that really kept my attention and made me say REALLY? at the end.
A retired teacher lives by the sea with an ex student taking care of her as she isn't able to care for herself.
The student arranges for a class reunion knowing the teacher is v... read moreery ill and would like to see them again.
What ensues is a bloodbath and many twists and turns.
at the Reunion resentment begins to build from each student because the teacher has in some way ruined their life by her tough say before you think style of teaching and abuse in one form or another inflicted upon each one.
The teacher had a deformed baby that she and her husband kept locked in the basement who at the time she was teaching was the same age as the students.
There was a window in the basement and the children would go and play with her son while he was wearing a mask but when his horrific distorted face was revealed all of them stayed away except one, who then made him a rabbit mask and was kind to him.
This is a very gory slasher with creative kills and kills that depict severe hatred from whomever is killing them one by one.
So,who is that killer, they all have motive.it will keep you guessing until the very last second
