    The plot for this movie is interesting and involved. There is always something happening and a lot of action. The fight scenes were pretty good as well. Nothing really over the top though, although it was still pretty entertaining.

    Although there was plenty of action, the quick editing between scenes, spoils the film and with so many gun wheeling characters about I lost interest early on.

    Not the greatest thriller that's ever been produced, but it is worth a watch. The pacing and acting are both very good, and while the story seems somewhat familiar, I still found myself entertained and satisfied.

    Now this is my kind of film... You know the one with a kick ass trailer and then the movie is twice as good?!! Safe House is one of those films. Action packed right from the start as Ryan Reynolds is working for the Cia as a watchperson (housekeeper in the film) for a safe house... read more...Of coarse his first guest gets brought in under hood and turns out to be the Cia's most wanted...Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) Shortly after Frost gets brought there the safe house gets breached but we dont know who these men are all we know is they want Frost. This leaves Mr. Reynolds in charge of getting this notorious individual to safety. A whole movie spent trying to figure who the enemy truly is.

    A reason Denzel Washington is in my top 10 fave actors of all time list...I have totally loved everything he has been in and it's awesome watching him craft his trade on the big screen. Ryan Reynolds is always a pleasure to watch and seems like he is trying to make his ranks in the intense actors of the world list.

    This is a movie that is definately saved by it's star power. The script is too intricate for it's own good, the outcome of the movie is a big "so what", and for a movie that's full of intrigue, it's pretty predictable. There's a traitor in the movie, but if you can't figure out w... read moreho it is in the first 15 minutes, then you have no business watching movies. The traitor does everything short of running around screaming "I did it! I did it!"

The film boasts some tense action sequences, shoot-outs and hand-to-hand combat scenes that will at times recall the Bourne series, although the editing occasionally obscures the choreography. Vera Farmiga and Brendan Gleeson, though, are actors who deserve better roles than these cookie-cutter agent types. An extremely predictable plot doesn't offer any surprises but it's a fun movie that most people can enjoy. 6.5/10
