Sydney Pollack's homage pales in comparison to, well c'mon, Bogie and Hepburn and Wilder ... how can you beat that? But after taking that monumental fact into account, its not so bad on its own merits. Ford and Ormond have their own charm, yah, but the writing fails the scintil... read more

An almost word for word remake but Harrison Ford is great. Full review later.

While it's not a particularly amazing movie, it still has a lot of redeeming qualities. Harrison Ford actually played a highly entertaining yuppie and had a lot of great moments. While it is a little bit fluffy for my taste, it is by no means a bad romantic comedy.

Meh. Julia Ormond is exquisite but Harrison Ford is blisteringly dull. The film hardly shows Sabrina's development from gawky nerd to Parisian sophisticate at all. A few zingers here and there, but on the whole, draggy and overwrought. The original with Audrey and Bogie didn'... read more

Sydney Pollack directs with the sort of polish that was easy to take for granted two decades ago but almost looked like classicism in 1995. Full Review
Blossoming into radiant color, this film has picture-postcard charms that the black-and-white earlier version could only hint at. Full Review
Ford looks as stiff and old hat as his homburg.
Proves too flimsy of a reed to be successfully replanted. Full Review
Sydney Pollack miraculously almost pulls off his updated homage simply by choosing well and popping enough champagne corks to make us believe the wealthy are still glamorous despite Donald Trump.
Never evokes the sweet allure of Billy Wilder's original film. Full Review
A handsome remake that plays homage to the Wilder flick. Full Review
The remake, alas, must mask its failings with Julia Ormond's toothsomeness, Pollack's poky pacing and the uninspired scribblings of writers Barbara Benedek and David Rayfiel. Full Review
