This time around we are treated to three more (apparently these are actually the first three shorts in the series) stories that are little more then edgy Twilight Zones with an Asian flair.

These three all seemed a overly convoluted and as if there was much being "lost in tran... read moreslation". In a more cultural then litteral sense.

While each was interesting in it's own wasy. the third installment (Going Home) was by far the most impressive. But even this felt a little OVER developed and unnecessarily convoluted.

Memories had an interesting concept, but was a touch dull while actually watching it, apart from one particular scene which I won't ruin for people who've not viewed it. The Wheel had a lot more going on, but personally I didn't care much for it. The soundtrack was rather effecti... read moreve though. Going Home was probably my favourite of the three, it was both well crafted and unusual. In fact, I'm debating whether to buy the film based entirely on the strength of this short.

The other stories are so-so, but Peter Chan's "Going Home" is a minor masterpiece. Surreal and with a great ironic ending, check it out.

Memories: 2 stars; A fairly dull, pointless 'horror' film.

The Wheel: 1 star; Maybe you have to be a part of the culture to understand why this film is 'scary.'

Going Home: 4 stars; A really fantastic film. It's not really scary at all, but I don't think that was t... read morehe point. A very interesting and bizarre story. Highly recommend.

I was super pumped when I read about this, a horror trilogy, that features chan wook park and takashi miike?? Im sold! Sadly I was let down, the first one from the other director started out good, but fell apart near the end, still prolly the best overall, the 2nd, parks, is ok i... read more guess, nowhere near as good or complex as oldboy, i left it thinking "that was it?" last and least is miikes, its all psycho dream analysis bullshit, it really annoyed me, i was so letdown by this, it definitely saddened me

As much as I enjoyed the first film in this series, that's about how much I disliked this one. OKayk, that's a bit harsh, I didn't actively dislike this one to be perfectly fair, but I certainly won't be coming back to it anytime soon. It's kinda boring and aside from the final... read more short, it never really grabbed my attention all that much.

    Rental.

It was okay, Out all of all the stories. I found the first one to be the most original. The second one was boring and made no sense. The third one was confusing also.

Definitely more of a gross factor film than a horror. But it's unique in that it's 3 separate films in one,and the stories are at least interesting. Confusing plots, but cool.

I just found out that Three Extremes was a sequal to this. In asia this film was put out as just "Three". I guess Three extremes was enough of a hit in the US to back track and release this. Still I did not like this.

I though the first one was better but this still offered some good stories, it just didnt stick as much as the first set
