Drew and Didi Pickles (voices of Michael Bell and Melanie Chartoff) decide to take a special vacation with their children, Tommy (voice of Elizabeth Daily) and Angelica (voice of Cheryl Chase), with their friends (both grown-ups and toddlers) coming along for the ride. However, the ship Drew has chartered isn't especially seaworthy, and their party ends up stranded on an uncharted island in the Pacific. The kids figure the day is saved when they discover that famous explorer and television personality Sir Nigel Tornberry (voice of Tim Curry) is also on the island with his family, but after he gets a world-class knock on the head from a coconut, Nigel's upper intellectual register gets knocked out of commission. The Rugrats are then forced to turn to Nigel's daughter, Eliza (voice of Lacey Chabert), who not only knows the wilds, but can talk to animals, which comes as quite a surprise to Spike (voice of Bruce Willis), the Pickles' family pooch. Rugrats Go Wild also features the voice talents of LL Cool J, Cree Summer, Nancy Cartwright, Jack Riley, and Flea. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

A good crossover but it has one thing i dislike about it, Bruce Willis as Spike. It just seems out of place for him to play Spike

This was both boring and entertaining. Liked their adventures, there was some sad moments.

Totally substandard compared to the cartoon.

I love Rugrats. I like the Wild Thornberry's. I do not care for them together.

Rugrats Go Wild is, without a doubt, the worst of the Rugrats movies. Not to say, it's entertaining, it's just loses spirit of what made the other movies good. I liked the combining of both Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys and thought it was very cool how they tied to two in. Unf... read moreortunately, both shows aren't represented equally, in my opinion. The family from The Wild Thornberrys seems to take a backseat to all the Rugrats characters. Also, I remember seeing the previews for this and not being able to wait to hear Spike talk. While Bruce Willis does an admirable job, I just hated how they portrayed him in this movie.

A crossover film involving the Rugrats and the Thornberries may not at first seem like a smart move, but I found this movie very enjoyable. E.G. Daily is terrific as always as the lovable Tommy Pickles, and Angelica meets her match in terms of brattiness with another Thorn... read moreberry. And hey, it does feature Bruce Willis as the voice of Spike! Filled with truly wild imagination as we've grown accustomed to with the Rugrats, what exactly is not to like here? My complaints are that perhaps the music could have been a bit more addicting rather than boring, and overall the film does drag on a little bit, but I've enjoyed it. Those with no imagination need not watch. :)

Did not like how they added the Wild Thornberry's to it. SHould have left the Rugrats by themselves and would of had yet another good movie in my opinion starring the Rugrats

As matinee probations go, the movie's tainted by too many bad songs and too much of Bruce Willis. Full Review

[T]his is harmless entertainment for very young children. Everyone else though, will be wriggling in their seats like 2-year-olds with wet diapers. Full Review

For all the doubling of franchises, Odorama- smelling and smart-aleck references to famous movies and songs, there's nothing particularly bright and charming about the film.

The end product is surprisingly engaging, thanks at least in part to a pair of very stinky feet. Full Review

A shrill, pointless animation in which two highly profitable Nickelodeon TV franchises come together with all the finesse of a direct assault. Full Review

A fairly well-paced, borderline- entertaining kiddie flick.

Not much more than a TV episode writ large -- and probably best strictly as a something-to-do stopgap before the Sinbad cartoon opens next month. Full Review

The Thornberrys just happen to be visiting the same island the Rugrats have been marooned on, a coincidence born in corporate cartoon heaven, letting the newer franchise prop up the older a bit. The g...
