I was expecting it for a long time but was disappointed in the end. It has a good foundation, the actors are brilliant, the plot is good and the decors/costumes are beautiful but in the end, it doesn't quite do the job. It is worth seeing it though for being a chinese musical...

The music is great, but I was expecting something more..."musical" from this film. Not a typical love story, but a bitter realistic type. The acting was great, and the imageries were interesting also.

Kinda drags near the middle, but has a great (if not kinda sad) ending. The cinematography was amazing.

A movie within a movie. Beautifully filmed, great acting, singing, and dancing. An Asian version of Moulin Rouge. One the best movies of 2006!
