Saw this trapped on an airplane over the Pacific Ocean. Jumping out of the plane was considered. How Dolly got talked into this I will never know. The idea that she could turn Sly into a singer is preposterous, and the movie proves it. Total waste of time. money and talent (Dolly... read more, not Sly.) It gets one star because Dolly is worth watching, even in trash like this.

Singularly unwatchable 80s "comedy" that's country & western cross between Fame and My Fair Lady. With Sylvester Stallone. Draw your own conclusions...

This is one of the worst movies you will ever see in your life. Not even Dolly Parton's chest could save it.

Wow, just when you think that Stallone gets a chance to act, he blows it by overdoing and bringing way too much energy. As someone who likes all music including country, some of the songs were decent. there were even some decent one liners that were actually funny. Parton and Sta... read morellone even have a decent chemistry together. But this movie was a bad fish out of water that was totally predictable and badly acted.

People are allowed to do stupid things sometimes...Some people just over do it. Perfect example here.

I love anything Dolly Parton touches, and I'm still a Stallone fan at the same time. This was everything I expected- 80s cheese with a giant bow on top. With quotes like "Except you sound like baby Hitler." and "When you're wearing those pants I can read your pulse" I wasn't le... read moret down.
The plot is paper thin at best but it still entertains and the music is really catchy (especially if you're already a Parton fan). Definitely geared more towards the girl who likes a campy 80s romp, rather than the serious movie goer (and probably not up the alley of many guys).

I loved this movie! Stallone is so out of character and does an amazing job as he has the funniest moments esp singing old macdonald! This movie is hilarious and a fun one to watch.I love all Sly's movies and this is him at his funniest.
