Rest Stop has gotten a lot of flack and I can see why. However the film is not the worst horror film that I've seen. The film is a borderline decent horror film with a cool concept. Of course the film is not the best, but it's not the worst either. The acting is so-so but what ma... read more

This film makes no sense.
I'll give it one star for the sniffing, because that was seriously creepy. -

One of the most ridiculous pieces of gutter trash i've ever seen, it's a disgrace to American Horror. The only redeeming quality was the fact that you get to see Joey Lawrence tortured beyond belief. First he gets hit by a pick-up truck, then gets his legs run over by the same tr... read more

And on the topic of "horror movies that don't contribute much in any sense"...
I really cannot think of anything constructive or interesting to say about Rest Stop. It's dull and the ending is infuriating. My friends and I had more fun discussing the heroine's big chin instead ... read more -

Not good on a lot of levels. This copies a lot from other side of the road horror movies so nothing in it feels original. There is also a supernatural element involved that is never addressed or explained.

Completely illogical script, many "went down the wrong road" cliches. Small setting that makes for the only genuinely jarring emotions. Too many plot twist jump-scare combos. Photography is a little more considerate than expected but on par with anything else and offers no innova... read more

This movie was absolutely hysterical. Even the alternate endings and extras were funny, but as a testament to its genre it fails miserably.
The tension is ratcheted up a bit because the setting is plausible, but everything else...not even close.
Right from the start you star... read more -

Crap. Its not scary, the actors suck at their jobs, the dialogue is lame and the plot will make you squirm in anguish. Even supreme leader Chuck Norris will not get this film. Not that recommended actually. Stay as far away from this film as possible.

So many logical flaws in the story, Poor script, And... But I think the main plot wasn't that bad and the sequel can be better than this, So I'm waiting for the second part

That makes me shocking with horror-thriller on the haunting road trip. It looks a bit familiars between The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hostel.
Critic Reviews
Totally derivative and without any particular surprises, [but] still a skillful exercise. Full Review
...another of those films where we just wish the madman would dispatch the leading lady as quickly as possible and be done with it, putting her and us out our misery. Full Review
This is a flat horror effort that ranges from dull to unintentionally hilarious to, finally, tiresome. Full Review
absolutely riddled with plot holes, inconsistencies, and simple errors of logic Full Review
