This is a prelude to the game Resident Evil 5, thus made for the fans. It can also be taken as a follow-up to RE: Apocalypse deviating from the way the movie series is going. The purists will love it, but as a film it has enormous plot holes, stupid characters, cheesy dialogues a... read more

Most of the graphics are impressive, though technology has yet to master the nuances of the human face.
As a whole this comes off as several really cool set-ups for different levels in a video game.
But once the impressive introduction to each new "level" is set up, it beco... read more -

RE-EVAL 09-17-2010
Lost half a star for the fact that it does play like a string of cut scenes from a game and is too brief with no real emotional meat to it other than nostalgia for RE fans. I was being too generous when I gave this sucker four stars; I imagine I was just so rel... read more -

Not a bad movie. I'm a fan of the game and it was cool to see Clair and Leon in a much advance graphic animation. The animation work on this is pretty Awesome and there were times I thought it looked absolutely real.
The movie itself is average and pretty sim... read more -

Finally, a cut scene movie. The same amount of cheese, bad animation and sub-par vocal talents. Watching somebody else play Resident Evil 4 is more enjoyable than this, that still provides scares and when you shout "don't open that door" somebody may actually take your advice. It... read more

A very good CGI animated film with a great level of detail, really makes it realistic as possible. They even used motion capture for the characters in the film for greater realism. At last a Resident Evil film that does tie in with the games! Bringing Claire Redfield and Leon S.K... read more

The usual RE plot (of the games that is, not the shitty live action movies) done by the numbers. So, that's not saying a lot, because the games are neither an example of solid writting either. But at least there are no skinny models doing slow-mo flips, or Marilyn Manson on the s... read more

I've been dying to watch this one for a long time, but I'm utterly dissapointed..
I got a little excited when Leon entered the story (I love him in the Resident Evil 4 videogame), but the movie just didn't seem to keep me interested..
Too bad..

Awe inspiring animation and decent vocal work but the story is so slow. It does however pick up for the last 30 minutes to an exciting pace.
