    Longer movies like The Green Mile, King Kong, and yes, Titanic, have a harder time of being movies that are really good, or excellent, or at the very least worth seeing bc of their sheer length! Rose Red was like 5 hours long! The acting seemed to become subpar, especially in the... read more second half. The second half of Rose Red dragged drearily, I wanted to get up and run from my television set!

    I love Rose Red for it's premise & for its plot, those things I really enjoyed, so it doesn't truly suck, but the movie is just not good enough (In every area, i.e., acting, directing, screenplay, cgi, etc.) to justify the sheer length of the film. Therefore it does kinda suck at the very least for being far to long, and more so for not being good enough for the length of the movie.
