How can you not love Recess? Especially with it off the air now, this movie was great to relive one of the greatest and well done cartoons ever made. Hopefully they keep making these movies or at least bring back the show.

It's okay... the TV show is tons better. But the songs are cool, notably "Dancin' in the Street."

Recess was a good show, this movie isn't as good, but it is entertaining enough if you are a kid who liked the show. Luckily the show and the movie were made in a way that parents could sit through it as well.

This was a great movie. I personally am a big fan of the TV show, and making it into a movie was the best idea I've ever heard of. I watch this every year the day that school gets out!

This movie has a lot of interesting aspects such as psychedelic sixties flashbacks, ninjas and a fighting Finster.
Critic Reviews
About as exciting as a lunchbox full of carrot sticks.
Passably speedy on the level of other TV retreads that seem miscast on the big screen. Full Review
It's fun, it's kind of somber and it succeeds in making you think about how you might be squandering middle age. Full Review
There are times when I wonder why so much energy is expended finding alternatives to funny animals who hit each other with anvils. Full Review
There's nothing new here, not even the idea of Mikey's singing voice coming from Robert Goulet. Full Review
A reasonably entertaining cartoon feature aimed at Baby Boomers and their children.
Though Recess, the feature film, is far from innovative, it is agreeable. Full Review
Thematically thoughtful but technically feeble. Full Review
An appealing, contemporary piece of animation. Full Review
