This movie has its pros and cons. Pros: Good acting - idea has lots of possibilities - not often we get this sort of combination of mystery and romance - I liked the vague ending. Cons: too long or drawn out.

Dull and emotionless. A few well written scenes give a hint to what could have been an intriguing film. Ford and Scott Thomas work well separately and together but the overall film is simply frustrating. A number of sub plots seem more interesting than the main one handed to us w... read more

This movie is intriguing to me...I've seen it a couple times and I just want to see it again and again.

So what started with promise fizzled with puzzling character motivations, occasionally phoned in supporting acting and a lack of chemistry. And even pre-9/11, it seemed pretty easy to get on an airplane under a false name. Better than Firewall, but that's not saying an awful lot.

Almost everything that is wrong with the Hollywood system can be found here. Full Review
Enormously boring.
[Ford] plays every emotion squarely and thuddingly, as if he were a heavyweight hitting the bag. Full Review
The film has no result--just an ending, leaving us with all of those fine pieces, still waiting to come together. Full Review
The heat generated by these two attractive stars barely rises above room temperature. Full Review
Beyond all its pointless circling around the center, Random Hearts tests audience patience by showing behavior far too long before explaining it. Full Review
Harrison Ford does some of his best work ever in Sydney Pollack's marvelous new thriller, Random Hearts.
I'd rather see the thriller in the trailer, about a plane crash, infidelity and scandal. Full Review
