Ever since the McCoys ran over Abner Hatfield with their motorcar and reneged and their promise to give the Hatfields the vehicle as a gesture of goodwill, the two backwoods families have been locked in an ongoing battle. But while the adults in each family are consumed by hatred, all young Jodie Hatfield and Ricky McCoy want is to love one another. Knowing that their families will disapprove of their union, the two young lovebirds furtively rendezvous in the woods as Ricky's little sister, Sarah, stands lookout. One night, as the two declare their love by the light of the moon, two of the Hatfield brothers spy Sarah in the woods and quickly give chase. When Sarah makes a fatal misstep and dies, Ricky visits the old woman in the woods and summons the one hell-spawn that can settle the score. But vengeance is a dangerous game, and before long both families are running for their lives. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

When you are in Mood to watch something grusel this Movie will only dissapoint you.
At some point It even didnt make sense. I mean the character of Lance Henriksen a "Lost Soul" f.e.g His Background?
    I wouldnt really recommend it.

This gets a one for being made; beyond that, it has no redemptive qualities. I can't even be bothered droning on about the substandard awfulness of this. The largest problem is the sound - of which I don't think ANY was recorded on set. The whole movie seems dubbed and then smash... read moreed with public domain effects sounds. If the sound wasn't all done in studio, that makes this even worse as no one bothered syncing the sound to match the actor's lip movements. The effects are a bunch of cheap half-shot bullshit that any ten year old could do better, and the only decent bit of acting comes from the lead heroine.

Not as interesting as the previous entry, Ashes To Ashes but much gorier than I expected and it thankfully had a lot less crappy CG.

When Pumpkinhead came out i thought the monster did look great but he was stiff & to me the film was average, then comes the bad sequels which to me this wasn't a franchise that i was thrill about. So here comes part 4 of the series which comes from the Sci-Fi channel that totally ... read moresurprise me.The creature turn out to be not stiff like the previous ones & not CGI like part 3 "Ashes To Ashes" besides it was gory.Story as usual about a vengeance & the performances wasn't so bad just a little bit over the top at times.Blood Feud is the one i enjoy the most from the Pumpkinhead series.

this was the first one i saw before i saw the other ones and it kinda suck and i neverd like it well this is whats it about
Pumpkinhead was in itself a decent 80s horror flick. No classic by any means, but an enjoyable piece of fluff. Why then, have we now been treated to a four... read moreth film in this franchise is beyond me. As in previous sequels, there's nothing here to really connect the films except for the monster, the witch and Ed Harley (Lance Henriksen). This time out we follow the feud between the Hatfields and the McCoys. Part of the film is a Romeo And Juliet romance as a young McCoy boy and his Hatfield lover decide to run away to be together. Soon, however, they are torn apart and the boy's sister is killed. The boy escapes to the woods and gets the witch to resurrect Pumpkinhead for some vengeance. The acting is passable at best, amateurish at the worst. The titular demon doesn't even really show up for almost forty minutes and when it does its a pale comparison between it and the original design. Overall, Blood Feud fails to impress. It may be worth a watch once, but certainly not an addition to the collection.

Much better special effects and Lance Henriksen. That were the only positives about this movie. The acting was very very bad and the story was exceptionally weak. Pumpkinhead also looked much more improved as well.

It doesn't live up to the quality of the original Pumpkinhead (which was only mildly impressive as pseudo classics go) Full Review

If you're a diehard fan of this particular series, Blood Feud is certainly worthy of a weekend rental, but feel free to skip through most of the chatty parts Full Review
