    To simply call this alleged comedy stupid is just a massively unforgivable understatement. It's... read more a film that has tons of raunchiness but depressingly none of it is actually funny and resultingly extremely dislikable. It has a lot of repugnant characters, it's completely un-original and just bored me to death. I laughed 3 times and that's definetely not enough. It's a mean spirited, badly filmed, cheap, materialistic and above all ugly film that bares no comedic resemblance to other films like it such as Superbad and more appropriately The Hangover. It's rubbish.

    How could i give this movie a 9 out of 10? Well because it succeeds in exactly what it tries to do and creates a classic high school party movie. From the very first scene it starts out funny and keeps going. This is essentially a movie about a giant party. And the party itself i... read mores wild, with a great soundtrack. The movie just keeps escalating throughout getting crazier and crazier. While this may not be realistic, it does enough of a job to stay somewhat grounded while managing to escalate the antics of the teens to insane heights. The characters are hilarious and carry the movie. This is just pure entertainment, never slowing down for more then a minute or without throwing in a laugh. Again if the plot doesn't appeal to you then you wont like the movie, there's no way around it. that being said this will join the ranks of classic high school party movies. No this isnt a John Hughes movie, there's no lesson or even a real coming of age story, this is just a wild, funny party, and its entertaining for the full running time. For what it attempts to be Project X hits on every mark, and its hard not to remember this one.

    This is a successful use of the found footage type of film making in so much as they do a really good job of letting the audience see everything. The downside is that it really turns into a mash up of music videos you would expect to see on some grunge bands website showing how c... read moreool it is to be young and how drinking, sex, and drugs are awesome.
    While fun I think the flick is promoting a lifestyle to youth that is unrealistic and dangerous.

    Another movie this year misusing the trite (and unnecessary) found footage gimmick edited from multiple cameras (even under the water!), which would have been impossible to obtain. But those looking for just pointless, forgettable fun are likely to be entertained.

    "Project X" is a pretty original and simple movie. It's a handheld movie about the craziest high school party ever. That's the premise and storyline in a nutshell. The cast is all unknowns, which makes it feel very authentic. The laughs are spread throughout, and don't always... read more hit. But there are more hits than misses. The party is pretty insane, from dogs flying with balloons to a midget put into an oven. A lot of crazy stuff happens. At around 85 minutes, the movie has a great pace and never overstays it's welcome. There are a couple of issues that hold the movie back from being a classic. First the ending of the party probably could have been handled better, as it felt rushed and kind of out of place. The second is the characters aren't fully developed so that you really care what happens to them, but that really isn't this type of movie. All in all, it's ok for a watch, if your into high school partying shenanigans. Otherwise, stay away and remove the stick from your butt.

Where it fails is that its not that funny, there are some humorous parts, but they are far apart. Overall its a crazy experience that should be viewed with a ton of people. It's no "Chronicle" and is really only good for one viewing, but its a crazy time that really should be experienced

    This movie is insanity! From a critics standpoint it has many flaws, but to a normal viewing audience it provides lots of laughs and entertainment. The one thing that turned me off about this movie was the over-exaggeration of the partying. It went on, and on, and on, and on!     I've seen 'Project X' twice now, and I still don't know what to make of it. This review is not totally accurate, because you're either going to like this movie or completely hate it. I seem to be caught in the middle. On one hand, i found it extremely entertaining, I laughed quit... read moree a bit, and really enjoyed the soundtrack and montage of party clips. On the other hand, the acting was pretty bad, the script was mostly lacking in any legitimate dialogue, and a lot of it felt more like a music video instead of a feature film. The build up to the party is a little slow with A LOT A LOT of Costa...its up to you to decide if that's a bad things or not. I think teens are gonna like it, I think parents are going to hate it. My advice is to see it, and decide for yourself.

    Pretty lame. One of the most disappointing comedies since The Hangover Part 2. All of the characters are unlikeable, especially Costa and they give us no reason to care about anything that's going on.     To be honest, its only for teenagers or people with an open mind. The music is awesome but only for a younger demographic. I won't go so far to say that the movie is good but ill say that its really entertaining with its beautiful woman and crazy stunts.
