As far as giant croc movies it's not the best, but it's definitely a solid entry in the genre with nice production value. It also features the most croc on land attacks of any others ive seen. Not as good as Lake Placid, Dark Water or Rouge

Only saw this movie once and it instantly became a favorite. I like that it's inspired by true events, and that it's very exciting and suspenseful, but what I REALLY like about it is that not only is there a monster in the form a gigantic croc they're after, but the more they del... read more

Fairly successful big croc movie. It follows generic plotlines via generic chracters, but has enough charm to pull it off. Orlando Jones is a great casting choice. His wit elevates the film somewhat, with lines like "This crocs like OJ Simpson. His biggest mistake was killing a w... read more

A very thrilling and fun monster movie, in the tradition of Jaws. It's smart, exciting, nail-biting and action-packed. An edge of your seat thriller with a realistic turn at a true story. A great cast of compelling and teriffic actors.

It's really fun when your stupid crocodile movie makes absolutely no attempt to resolve its main dramatic obstacle.

Where was the movie about a rampaging killer crocodile?! All I saw was a movie about how awful it is in Africa with Civil War and warlords and such. The croc was secondary! Such a shame.

Well.. the movie isn't bad at all... Just it can't catch a focus on the crocodile... But, it's a true story anyway... U can change what already happen, right??

For some insane reason, the makers of Primeval attempted to create a film that blends Anaconda with Hotel Rwanda, and they failed miserably. Full Review
Can't a killer-crocodile movie just be a killer-crocodile movie? Full Review
Primeval is one of several recent movies to bill itself as 'inspired by true events.' So was this review, though in both cases 'inspired' may be too strong a word.
How capturing an animal found in every zoo constitutes a scoop is beyond me, but when you expect the trio to be knee-deep in blood they are instead wading through politics. Full Review
In the end, broader messages get beaten down by genre. Full Review
Director Michael Katleman, making his bigscreen debut after a couple decades' TV work, keeps the pacing tight, the acting straight-faced and the laughs mostly intentional (though Jones' one-liners occ... Full Review
What a croc! Unsolicited advice to filmmakers: When making a monster movie, do not attempt to sell said film as a picture about a serial killer. Full Review
Strangely self-serious, and without covering the prerequisites of top-shelf nastiness that contemporary horror requires, this giant crocodile movie turns out to be neither fish nor fowl. Full Review
Don't get attached to anybody, or anything. Poor actors. They took off to make a movie in Africa and all they got was a stinking, fake-blood-soaked t-shirt. Full Review
