People keep comparing this to A Knights Tale. Knights Tale was sooooo much better. This movie I just found annoying most of the time. Not a bad movie, but just didn't do it for me like most movies set in this time period.

Very generic even though it tries hard not to be. I just found most of what was going on screen very unnecessary and puffy, it was just icing there was no deeper meaning than that.

It may be flawed, but true perfection is imperfect right? I love the gritty realism of the situation, period, and Carlyle's and Lee Miller's relationship. I must admit that's not for everyone, but if you want to see the bright side of life go bury your head in the sand bucket.

A unique attempt at trying to capture a historical thriller in a upbeat, hip fashion. Bad techno music for an old film = a horrible mix. On the whole pretty tasteless despite it's interesting try at fashionable costumes and cutting edge 90's fun.

Interesting blend of period piece with a modern techno-type of soundtrack. Johnnie Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle as two highwayman chewing up some scenery with Alan Cumming doing what he does best - stealing the film. Liv Tyler playing the obligatory love interest.

too stylistic for it's own good. modern soundtrack over period drama: when not done well, it comes across as cocky.
decent piece, great looking, but a waste of talent, really. -

Great flik. It ranks up there with brother hood of the wolf and count of monty cristo. Trust me, it's a good movie.

The best argument ever made for the carpet bombing of Hollywood.
A two-bit action movie masquerading as legitimate filmmaking. Full Review
The anachronisms...force us to separate historical accuracy from the shadow it casts of a living spectacle, and Scott manages this task entirely with drollness instead of didacticism. Full Review
