I didn't despise it but I didn't give it another thought until I typed this up.

The lucy Liu/woody Harrelson sex scene in this is worth a star and a half as far as I'm concerned :) Solid boxing buddy pic though, catch it if you find it on cable or a movie channel.

Worst boxing movie ever made. Only thing that comes out of this movie is a great sexy scene with Lucy Liu.

Sort of a flat movie because they take away any and all animosity between the two boxers by making them best friends and I'm supposed to feel bad for them having to fight each other? Lame concept.

Not really a boxing movie as much as a strange tale about two men and the woman in both their lives and the loudmouthed, sleazy, bitchy dragon lady played by Lucy Liu. Lots of cameo shots during the boxing scene and strange T&A shots mixed in.

Too much macho-bravado sinks this one but it does have good performances from most involved. As far as boxing comedies go, this one is a far cry from Diggstown.
Critic Reviews
Lacks the pizazz of Shelton's best stuff.
Its resemblance to Mr. Shelton's other work makes us feel as if we've already seen the film's trailer 20 times. Full Review
Play It to the Bone isn't going to be a contender.
Bone tired.
Play It to the Bone is wildly uneven, but the good parts outweigh the bad.
Play It to the Bone consists largely of a seemingly endless drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Full Review
As empty as a Don King pay-per-view bout.
Doesn't have enough of a boxing story to occupy the running time. Full Review
