Pineapple Express bring the nostalgia from the buddy/actions comedy genres from the 80's. Fresh.

Wasn't sure what to expect but it did give quite a few good laughs and had me involved throughout. Sometimes it did feel a bit awkward watching two grown men role around on the floor groping each other but it soon got back to something better.

An out of hand situation escalates in a comical Seth Rogan kind of way. The shocker of the film for me was James Franko, who should have been out of his comfort zone here, yet it worked so well!
Enjoyable and easy watching. -

The characters could have been played by anyone as no actor in the film were able to express what they can actually do. Such as Seth Rogen, the central protaganist. Despite this Pineapple Express has belly aching laughs and sometimes emotion.

A good performance by Rogen, a great performance by Franco and great chemistry between them carries this movie. On top of that it is written and shot pretty well.

Eh, pretty funny. Entertaining! I wish I could have hated it, but I can't lie, I enjoyed it. Overall, the script really surprised me. It was actually smart and genuinely funny. I particularly enjoyed James Franco and Gary Cole's characters. However, there were way too many moment... read more

A classic, best pothead film in a long time. Stoner Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) is a insurance salesman who on one of his sales he witnesess a murder, and the first place he goes after is his friend and his weed supplier Saul (James Franco). The rest of the film the two have a hil... read more

Gore and yucks are not an easy combination to pull off and Team Apatow simply do not have the skills. Full Review
At its sharpest, the script by [Seth]Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who co-wrote Superbad, recalls what made Superbad worth seeing: the sidewinding conversational riffs, the why-am-I-laughing? wordplay. Full Review
Never generates any big laughs, and the chase elements are so intentionally cliched they never take on a life of their own. Full Review
Imagine Superbad, but with fear of drug-related homicide replacing adolescent sexual panic as the excuse for male bonding, and you won't be too far off. Full Review
The swath of destruction these boys leave in their wake seems disproportionate to the prevailing mood of dopey fun. Full Review
This by turns inspired, goofy and finally weirdly hyper-violent celebration of male bonding and chronic Peter Panism joins such classics as Up in Smoke and the Harold & Kumar oeuvre in its sunny, raun... Full Review
Apatow and Green are just throwing whatever they can at the screen, to see what will get either a laugh or a grimace. More likely the latter, since you'll likely leave the theatre wondering if you saw... Full Review
A comedy that brings a nicely deflating note of realism to action-film mayhem, as well as being one of the few drug movies you don't have to be high to enjoy. Full Review
It's a funny, mostly harmless and entertaining film with a bad case of dry mouth. Full Review
