A wealthy businessman hires a crack team of seasoned soldiers to accompany him on a perilous journey into no man's land, only to come face to face with an otherworldly enemy more vicious and powerful ... read more read more...than any mortal foe. It was supposed to be an easy, forty-eight hour mission: Move in, scope out an abandoned military bunker, and move out. Once in the bunker, however, the fearless mercenaries begin to quake in their boots after happening across the remnants of some gruesome World War II experiments carried out by Nazi soldiers on their own men. Sifting through the carnage, the men are horrified to discover that one of the unfortunate test subjects is still clinging to life. Now, as bombs continue to burst above ground, a malevolent force emerges from the darkness below. Suddenly left with nowhere to run, the soldiers quickly realize that what appeared to be a by-the-books bodyguard mission has suddenly devolved into a bloody battle for survival. Why has their secretive host really brought them to this God-forsaken outpost, and is there any way of stopping the murderous force that hunts them from the dense shadows underground? ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Very good atmospheric tale about ghostly Nazi super-soldiers terrorizing a group of modern day mercenaries who are holed-up in an underground bunker. Has a nice mix of gore, action and chills. Recommended!

It started with great potential but overall starts to fade in the final third. Not bad by all means for a low budget indie horror. At first I thought it might be a take on of Dog Soldiers but with a Nazi zombie twist.....but it's most ghostly to be honest. A fair bit of gore and... read more creepy atmosphere in the dark bunker at the start would have been a great setting if the story was a little better. Try out the Norwegian film Dead Snow, for a fun horror comedy on a similar plot.

A unit of mercenaries hired to protect a scientist investigating a military bunker in the middle of war torn eastern Europe find it occupied by an unkillable force. Having my appetite for nazi zombies whetted, Outpost takes the idea in a different direction being more an action/h... read moreorror hybrid than the tongue in cheek gorefest that was Dead Snow. Obviously on the surface it's another variation on the Predator theme, it also takes cues from Aliens in its pitting of a military force against an invisible enemy in darkened corridors, but the treatment of the enemy feels more like Carpenter's The Fog than anything else. It actually builds up a reasonable level of suspense with some nice visuals and decent performances, Ray Stephenson having more than a little bit of the Sean Connerys about him and the idea of nazi zombies is inevitably an appealing one. Really what it needed was a nice shock ending or a surprising twist in the tale to make it special, but unfortunately it sticks to the generic formula and doesn't really deliver the finale it required. Solid, but unspectacular and not a patch on the similar Dog Soldiers.

This is one good movie, One of the better zombie movies I have seen. Takes place in eastern Europe, a Band of mercenary?s is hired to got to a special bunker, where of course a mad scientist thinks he has found something worth millions and that will change the world, what he find... read mores is a Army of Zombies ( Nazi's) that will stop at nothing. Its nothing that will make you lose sleep at night, very little to make you jump, but all in all its a good film watching the men in this band of rebels get picked off one by one. Awesome special effects. So its worth 4 1/2 stars.

It's a strange and specific sub-genre, but the soldiers in an isolated setting tormented by the dead, has been constantly overused of late. Outpost is really no different from previous films, apart from it's slight science twist. The film relies on familiar characters and dialogu... read moree you can hear coming from a mile away. It also suffers from taking itself far too seriously. The amount of unexplained details also hinders the enjoyment. The Nazi soldiers seem to have the ability to appear where and when they want, at first, later in the film they are more physical and less super-natural. You can't really feel much for these characters and too much has been left for the sequel. Fine for it's running time, but if you are familiar with R-Point or Guard Post 505, this is a disappointing rerun of such scenario's.

Low Buget and more scary than gore which was good for a change. Worth looking for.

With a plot kinda like 'The Bunker' this is not too bad, It starts of well and does carry on well but as things start to reveal themselves it does get abit silly, with little plot holes here and there.

One by one they bite the dust in predictable ways but its still quite cool, the Nazi plot makes things interesting and eerie really probably cos we know they did get up to things like this during the war.

To be honest it is very silly and the ending does spoil the ghost aspect of the film as it gets abit 'Aliens' almost in the final showdown, buts its still quite spooky.

A pretty good supernatural mixed sci-fi thriller.... and usually anything with Nazi's in it give me a subtle sense of the creeps.

Anyways, its moves along fast enough though it isn't until you are halfway through the movie then you learn what the mercenaries are up against... an... read mored the deep s*** that they got themselves into.

This is as far as it can get from Hollywood, and its not that bad... I enjoyed it. Nothing too fancy, just a creepy tale and a little noir filmmaking.

Dull action-horror flick in the tradition of Dog Soldiers and Dawn of the Dead. This part war and monster movie is not really exciting project with one kick-butt hero and a truly terrifying villian! It doesn't give me scary enough as I believe this story is like a n... read moreightmare.
