Ben Stiller is Larry a security guard in a museum. He discovers the exhibition characters come alive at night. The characters are all great especially Owen Wilson as the Cowboy and Robin Williams as President Teddy Roosevelt. They have to stop the retired security guards from ste... read more

Night at the Museum has a very interesting premise that might have worked if put in the right hands. Unfortunately, what you get is a one joke, CGI infested, unconvincing Ben Stiller kid's movie that you know in a few years time after they've watched it they will look back and re... read more

Night at the Museum will amaze kids, bore some parents, and for me it was just a fun movie with a couple of flaws.

Night at the Museum is a very enjoyable family film. I exactly call it a kids film, more of a family film because it has something for everyone. Theres a terrific cast of actors that hold this film together and the story is very original to boot. The film funny, sweet, and charmi... read more

the wholes in the script are a bit too apparent even for a kids movie, but this is a really fun and entertaining movie. a good cast and a film that doesnt take itself too seriously with high re-watchability.
Critic Reviews
A film that veers, often without much direction, between a family-friendly comic romp and an attempt to touch our souls with heartfelt emotion. Full Review
As mindless spectacle, this is reasonably entertaining. Full Review
It's just so dopey.
Rarely has so much production value yielded so little in terms of audience engagement. Full Review
Fun for the whole family? Probably not, but certainly for those members who are only permitted to hang out when the lawyers say it's okay. Full Review
Like the institution it portrays, Night at the Museum comes alive after dark. It's a perfect movie to take the kids to. Who knows, it might even inspire them to want to visit an actual museum. Full Review
It might be fair to give Ben Stiller an 'A' for effort, but to call what he does in this movie "acting" is a misnomer. He does a lot of running around, occasionally falling down or bumping into things. Full Review
Kids, supposedly too bored to go to such museums anymore (one of the film's messages, along with 'learn your history') should find this a Night to remember. Full Review
The special effects are far more inspired than the comedy in Night at the Museum, which strands several generations of performers in a highly derivative script and hackneyed direction.
