Marilyn Monroe is the luscious femme fatale in this film noir travelogue shot on the US/Canadian border. Mother Nature provides the breathtaking backdrop for this dark honeymoon romp of deceit, deception and murder.

"Too bad. They can't play it for you now, Rose."
Niagra failed to get me very interested from the very start, so you might as well know now that this won't be a very enthusiastic review. I sort of drifted through most of it, only paying attention enough to know what was going on... read more -

"Listen, for a dress like that, you gotta start laying plans when you're about 13."
For those who have heard the legend that when Marilyn Monroe is on screen, you can't take your eyes off of her and don't believe it, this is your starter movie. It's an oxymoron in the sense that ... read more
Critic Reviews
Watchable, but otherwise unremarkable.
So Marilyn can act. Who knew?
One of Marilyn's best, a tawdry Fox melodrama.
Apesar das boas atuações de Joseph Cotten, Jean Peters e da presença marcante de Marilyn Monroe, o filme naufraga graças a um roteiro medíocre e à direção burocrática de Hathaway.
The parts without [Monroe's] luminous presence onscreen are noticeably less interesting than those parts where she was involved. Full Review
