Inoffensive piece of tween fluff. I watched this while suffering from a bad back, and headache, and I always seem to rate this type of stuff better when I am not well . Possibly if i watched it next week, would say it is only a two star rating. For some reason I seek out the fl... read more

I didn't think that this movie could have pretty much fun... Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen can give me some fun too, not just they two having fun for themselves... But this movie get a little boring when it comes at the ending... Overall, it's a pretty good movie to watch...

Pretty average slapstick young girl humour. Levy adds a bit of character to what is essentially a very flat film. Considering it was only made for the money it has enough moments to make it mildly enjoyable. The twins have nice chemistry but not much comic timing and the film is ... read more

this is a joke. it's their so-called "adult" film posing as a tween's fantasy.

July 15, 2011fb1644764650Basically dull and glossed up stupidity with the sole intention of bringing back the deceased acting prowess of the Olsen twins, New York Minute could easily be one of the worst and most pointless films ever to be produced.

To say that New York Minute is a vehicle for the Olsen sisters is perhaps a slight to four-wheeled conveyances of all kinds. Full Review
Falls somewhere between a home video and a full-blown movie. Full Review
The surprise is that it's the kind of larky entertainment that can make adults feel younger, rather than older, which is the effect that most films for teens have on their elders. Full Review
The story is supposed to be about the twins' adventures in Manhattan. Mostly it's an excuse for the two to visit different neighborhoods and the script to drag in every stereotype the writers can thin... Full Review
In trying to straddle both the grown-up and kiddie worlds with this inappropriately sexualized effort ... the Olsens have lost their footing.
Viewers likely will have more patience counting down the Olsen twins' last days of childhood than sitting through their film.
The effect isn't just frenetic, unfunny and dull. It's kind of creepy. Full Review
