"30 Days, $1100, For an Ordinary Guy to get a Date with Drew Barrymore"
I did not anticipate liking this documentary as much as I did. Brian takes a risk and tries to get a date with his dream girl, Drew Barrymore. He goes through endless amounts of people to try to get the dat... read more -

I really enjoyed this documentary about a plain guy trying to get a date with a superstar.
Filmed with a simple video camera and an $1100 budget we get to see Brian try and make his dream come true. We see as he uses every connection he has to try and get a message to Drew, we s... read more -

This Herzlinger kid is such a dink. Could have been a great movie, but he wasted it.

This is just reality TV, in the form of "reality movie". It does have some charm though.

It?s hard not to like Brian Herzlinger, and throughout the film, you root for him to get his quest - a date with Drew Barrymore. It's very entertaining to watch him go through all the steps to try and meet a megastar. It is a good example of how having a very low budget doesn't h... read more

Clever concept and they pulled it off in a manner that did not make it look cheap and homemade. The guy who put this together had the idea, he was personable and made us root for him to get his date. It shows that anyone with determination can make a documentary, but also shows t... read more

Tried it out not knowing what to expect and laughed like crazy. It's a great one, especially if you can relate to this dorky average joe with a dream.

It's neat watching this; I was elated to cheer this man on. It's possible that this isn't "real", but most movies aren't. If you want real, go watch Grizzly Man.

This guy is my hero!! I LOVE Drew Barrymore and would have loved to be able to do this, just to have the courage to do this. And too see how cute Brian Herzlinger is in it, how willing he is to show his flaws and self-consciousness. And, Drew Barrymore is just about the cutest... read more
Critic Reviews
In this TV reality show masquerading as a movie documentary, Brian Herzlinger is a creepy voyeur, a run-of-the-mill loser who obsesses about living the celebrity high life but lacks the talent to pull... Full Review
If this unemployed gofer can land a date with a superstar, maybe there's hope for all of us. Full Review
[Barrymore's] radiant, sexy 'n' sweet manner provides a happy heart for this silly little love song of a movie. Full Review
If you're weirdly disinterested in the promotion of Herzlinger's career, this movie may offer all the delight of being slowly dragged by a pickup truck along a stretch of remote rural flat-top. Full Review
Don Quixote meets Bowfinger meets Swingers for the reality-TV generation. Full Review
My Date with Drew is just about the right length, and contains enough feel-good energy to make it a crowd-pleaser. Full Review
It does work, and winningly so, as a sharp comedy powered by Brian Herzlinger's disarming audacity and puckish self-deprecation. Full Review
What might, in other circumstances, seem like a sweet crush comes off here as only the most shameless kind of networking. Full Review
Though undeniably slight, Brian Herzlinger's endearingly enthusiastic documentary My Date With Drew makes a pretty good case for the underdog. Full Review
