I remember watching this movie when I was younger wondering when the rig was going to drive out and turn into the command center like it does on the cartoon. When I finally figured out that this movie and the cartoon M.A.S.K. were not the same thing I found that it was a pretty ... read more

My introduction to the talents of Eric Stoltz.

In my opinon one of the most emotional films ever made both Eric Stoltz and Cher played great parts in this and despite problems their relationship came across as a great partnership.
VERDICT: If you haven't seen it, give it a watch, but expect to have a lump in your throat.

Exremely well acted family melodrama about a disfigured boy that in the hands of another director could have been a schmaltzy TV Movie of the Week Full Review
Complex, moving story most appropriate for teens. Full Review
unforgettable.
A good movie that could have been a great one with a little more restraint. Full Review
Bogdanovich invests the story with warmth, generosity and considerable power. Full Review
Three great performances (and some great make-up) anchor this tale of facial deformity.
A modest film by most stretches, but exquisite acting by Cher, Stoltz, and Laura Dern make it truly special.
