    Good.

Oh dear! Possibly the worst Austen adaptation I've seen. Terrible casting of Billie Piper, who just looks out-of place in an 18th century piece. Some of the camera work was a bit suspect as well.

    Ewww... she married her cousin!

Worst Austen adaptation I've seen. Not only is Piper her usual unlikeable self, Fanny had next to no lines, and the plot moved along extremely awkwardly. How did Edmund fall in love with Mary? How did his feelings revert to Fanny so quickly? Why are all the other characters just ... read moreas two-dimensional? I guess we'll never know.

Meh. It was just meh. It had all the nice costumes and settings, but I felt detached from the main character.

Like watching cliffnotes. Honestly if I hadn't seen the 1999 version wouldn't have had much of clue of why things were happening or who the characters were. The characters were very empty. I really think it was meant to be a refresher course for people who have read the book i... read morenstead of a movie all on its on.

Excellent story, good preformances. Way better that what i expected. I havent read the book so i dont know if is faithful to it.

EDIT: After whatching other adaptacion of mansfield park i now see how badly made this one was.....

I absolutely adored this movie! It was amazing and honestly I didnt have many high hopes for it after seeing the preview because the book was my least favorite. Overall it was great though.

Lighter look of the classic. Even Tom's illness is less traumatic than in previous films. Repressed Edmund has an uncharacteristic burst of energy.
