He takes on a new assistant, Jason (William Ragsdale) who, in times past, was the dauphin of the kingdom of Hauptmann-Koenig. One thousand years ago, he lost his beloved Jessie (Kristy Swanson) when an evil sorcerer (Terry Kiser) turned her into a wooden icon, now known as the Enchanted Peasant Girl. As a tribute to Hauptmen-Koenig, the Enchanted Peasant Girl is being sent to Prince & Company for a window display. Jason awakens Jessie and the two get re-acquainted, having a millennium of things to catch up on. But the evil sorcerer, now reincarnated as Count Spretzle, arrives on the scene to take Jessie (and a prized necklace) and hop a flight for Bermuda, with Jason the only one who can stop him. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

A shop dummy that's been cursed to suffer a deep sleep for 1,000 years comes to life. The curse passes to me and fall into the deep sleep. Almost the same picture as before, only worse.

The idea of a sequel to Mannequin is a bit like contracting anthrax and then saying "Please sir, can I have some more?"
  • November 7, 2006
So can not live up to the original.

Who was sitting around a boardroom over at the film studio and proposed this follow-up to the first disaster? I'm sure whoever they are would never admit it now...

    There is no god.

Completely unnecessary sequel, which is more of a sort of remake, crossed with the movie ?Splash?. More extreme in it?s depiction of the bad guys than the first, which sounds impossible. It?s silly, not very well acted and poorly directed. Silly empty headed fluff.

Just as stupid as the original, but I still love it. There's a lot more "story" to this one, so it's actually my favorite of the two. Plus Kristy Swanson is just more likeable than Kim Cattrall. The idiot body-guards, the creepy count, the naive peasant girl, the loser mallcop, a... read morend of course the flamboyant Hollywood... it's cheesy romance at its best.

Oh this was so a let down after the first one. It was way way to cheesy and over the top as far as love stories go. The first is awesomeand a classic, they should have never made this one....

I like this one better especially the song "I Can't Believe My Eyes" by Gene Miller. I wish I had the song.
  • May 14, 2007
Though this sequel wasn't as good as the first, it does have some funny scenes. William Ragsdale and Kristy Swanson are not too bad in this film. The movie could have been better, but not too bad.

It's as woefully incompetent as its predecessor, except it's dealing with a smaller budget, you know, for added dreadfulness. Full Review

The first one was so-so. This one is less so.

Mannequin 2 is so bad that you'd easily accept my supposition that the film was in fact directed by three spiders, a goat, and a dedicated gust of wind. Full Review
