Being a big Bruce Campbell fan, I may be a bit biased in giving this film such a high rating. The story is fantastic as is the acting but it just seems like years of Bruce and co trying to get the film made, seeking financial backing and getting it from the Sci-fi channel, has co... read more

A great time. One outragiously funny and original movie that has the old school 1950's sci-fi style and material. It packs great laughs, mayham and crazyness. Bruce Campbell brings his great nack for comedy as well as a great directional debut, proving he can handle being the sta... read more

In this Sci Fi original type movie Bruce Campbell loses all of his good Indie cred by doing his same old tired schtick.

Bruce is alright, but the movie needed some help. These made for sci fi movies should be b movies, but they often aren't good enough to even be that.

Bruce Campbell rocks!!! This is ultimate B-movie cheese, intentional for a change (at least I THINK it's intentional) and as long as you're not expecting Citizen Kane, a lot of fun.

After I watched this movie, I did, indeed, feel as if my brain were screaming. This movie was, to put it simply, PAINFUL to sit through- it's full of sub-corny jokes, cheesy effects, virtually no budget (the poster is actually the cover of the comic book adaptation, for cripe's s... read more

I love Bruce Campbell, but this was bad, and not in a 'so bad it's good' way, it just not good.

It was pretty funny for a B movie, I was giggling at certain parts without expecting it. Utterly predictable though once you saw the main plot of the movie. I love Bruce Campbell's acting so it was a joy to watch this.

I save my true DVD reviews for my Netflix profile, but as just a movie this is a 3 star movie. And I don't think many B movies should strive or can achieve more. They need to give what the audience wants. Ebert has a redeeming stance of judging a movie for the audience its target... read more

The film tries very hard to be over the top, wacky and camp, but instead, it's flat as stale O'Doul's. Full Review
An unapologetically sloppy jumble of Roger Corman-style antics that could only hope to inspire their own drinking game.
A comedy that doesn't build, lacks structural integrity, and often falls flat. But it's also winningly loopy, with bizarre incidental ideas and performance riffing making for a series of parts that al... Full Review

The story is pretty ridiculous from start to finish, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since the film doesn't take itself seriously at all. Full Review
if Sam Raimi is going to keep directing $100 million movies, someone has to keep the B-movie torch aflame. Full Review
