This movie has a very familiar story, but I think it's good anyway. The actors are good, and it's a good movie, I should watch it again sometime.

Diana Ross is miscast, and rather badly at that. She is too old to be playing a hot new model, nor does she have the acting range for the role.

Diana Ross is miscast, and rather badly at that. She is too old to be playing a hot new model, nor does she have the acting range for the role. Poorly structured and not at all convincing. The first half is far better than the second. Great theme song

sometimes, i wish i were young only because i would have nothing to compare this film with or be able to set it in a context. when it was just about diana ross looking fabulous and singing an oscar nominated song, it was more than enough. now that i know about tony perkins' and... read more his misuse of his genius, berry gordy's abuse of his power and the non-use of tony richardson, i can only think of what this film could have been. shame on me.

An outrageously bad '70s soaper with Anthony Perkins providing some big unintentional laughs as a psycho fashion photographer.

Even a charming last-minute happy ending can't quite redeem all the mess and unidentified dread. Full Review

a perfect companion piece to 'Dreamgirls'... Sitting through it is like flipping through your high school yearbook and laughing out loud at what was once considered stylish or sophisticated. Full Review

So overwrought it has a certain camp value.
