The villains are a group of rival businessmen who kidnap Pa and spirit him off to a remote island. Before long, however, it's the bad guys who need rescuing. Some of the funnier scenes involve Ma and Pa's Hawaiian counterparts, played by Hilo Hattie and Charley Lung.     Not the funniest of the series, but seeing Pa smoke pineapple/suck milk out of a coconut & watch Ma pelt kidnappers with fruit bombs, is worth the watch.

    I'm not normally a fan of classic movies. However, my husband bought a few VHS tapes of the Ma & Pa Kettle series and I found them to be cute.

    Watching Ma & Pa Kettle films remind me of my youth. Coming home from church on Sundays and gathering around the TV set.
