An occasionally funny horror comedy from the guys in Gavin & Stacey. Not that gory, sexy and most of the time that funny. Has a few good moments but had potential to be a lot better. A disappointment.

In the tradition of Shaun of the Dead and An American Werewolf in London (the two films that this movie draws heavily upon), Lesbian Vampire Killers (AKA Vampire Killers in the U.S.) is a fun horror action comedy without being overly amazing. The ending doesn't live up to the res... read moret of the movie, but the movie has a good pace that just steamrolls on. There's a lot of T&A (naturally), some fun gore (not red for a change) and a lot of silly dialogue to please. It's not particularly witty, per se, but it works for what it is. Believe me, this a far more fun vampire movie than anything adapted from Stephanie Meyer... but then again, most vampire-related movies are better than anything adapted from Stephanie Meyer.

This is one spectacularly hilarious comedy that will have you fall out of your seat laughing. A fantastic crowd-pleaser that is just as fun and as satisfying as Shaun Of The Dead. A smart, fast-paced and wickedly entertaining adventure. A blisteringly enjoyable buddy movie and ou... read moretrageous horror-comedy. One of the the most original, goofy and hysterical hybrid comedies in years. There is no possible way you cant enjoy this movie, it's just that much fun.

Okay, so yes there are issues and whatnot. But taken purely as a film it's kind of funny in a laddish way, over the top and silly - as a parady of B movies it's actually quite good.

I had high hopes when I watched Lesbian Vampire Killers. I'm happy to say that this film delivered a lot of laughs and great horrifying moments. This is one of the best British Horror Comedies since since Shaun Of The Dead, although not as memorable as Shaun Of The Dead, Lesbian ... read moreVampire Killers is still a very good film with plenty of laughs to be found. The cast does a remarkable job and their performances and the film ends on a high note. I absolutely loved this film, this film is a good example of how when people are creative, they can deliver a strong film with a simple concept, it worked for zombies, and now it works with Vampires. Lesbian Vampire Killers is sure to put a smile on your face, and you'll probably agree that it's one of the best Horror Comedies in years.

This sounds ludicrous, atrocious, gimmicky and gauche - but you know what? I enjoyed it. In fact, I really enjoyed it.
Lesbian Vampire Killers is a hoot if you're willing to simply sit back and be tickled in special areas for ninety minutes. Sure it's crude, utterly pointl... read moreess and relies mostly on the humour of men drooling over breasts whilst decapitating lots of pretty strippers - but that's the point of the feature, and it's downright hilarious, fun and engaging if you're open to such stupidity. Of course, I often slam movies for being braindead and moronic, but that's only if they fail to make me giggle after the hundredth pitiful attempt at doing so. No, rather than come across as a lame movie hybrid, director Phil Claydon here manages to create a wonderfully dark comedy parody akin more to the classic Evil Dead movies spliced with a touch of Braindead and Shaun of the Dead. It's audacious, rude, blasphemous and somewhat morbidly erotic.

You go to watch this movie thinking well yo knw thisis going to be a bunch of crap mabe a littlefunny, but i really enojyed this for wha itwas 'a sillystupid but hilarious movie' that laughs at itsef really and james corden stieals the show as he is absolutely hilarios!

This is a hilarious movie that isnt serious so just dont expect much!
    Well worth a watch!

Shameless exploitation aimed squarely at teenage boys fantasies saved by the winning banter from Corden. Knows it is rubbish and has a laugh with the scenario. Not scary or sexy but at least amusing if you like Corden.
  • July 26, 2009
It may not be smart, but under the right circumstances, it sure can be fun.
  • May 25, 2009
Not as good or as funny as I had hoped it would be, the premise is really good with great lampoonery, hammer horror style blood and settings, skimpy clad vampires and naughty jokes possibilities but I just didn't feel they hit any of those marks enough. The whole thing was clearl... read morey done on dodgy sets which isn't bad but its too obvious, the effects are pretty terrible and there just isn't much sexy vampire stuff going on atall really, it all seems so tame, a missed opportunity for a really naughty, funny, spooky, romp.

The odd giggle and smirk was raised but in all I was disappointed.
