TCM 3 returns to it's more serious roots. It's not gory like the previous sequel, not even close, but it does feature some gruesome graphic violence (the UNCUT version shows a lot more). The film does take itself seriously for the most part, but it's never that scary. It does off... read more

Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 builds on the humour of the second and the violence of the first film, and brings this entry to a whole new level of gory violent fun. This is a pretty weak entry much like the second one, but still due to the violence and gore, it's still p... read more

It?s a bit rubbish. The second one was bad but it had a certain charm to it, this one is just crap. Leatherface is scary enough without adding more to the character. He didn't need the leg brace to squeak every time he was coming after the victims, I feel the makers missed the po... read more

This version of the family is interesting and devilish - particularly the gas attendant and little girl induced shivers for me. The mother character is the most original and perverse. It's fun to see Aragorn kicking around campy horror. My biggest problem with this movie is that ... read more

A different part of Texas than the first two films. Leatherface is living with a crazy new family. There's a great kitchen scene. They do a lot to set up the creepy Texas country-folk with a sleazy gas station scene. There's plenty of action. The plot feels a bit incomplete, even... read more

Second sequel to what is possibly my favourite horror film. In this one, a couple on a road trip are terrorised by the infamous family not long after bumping into 2 of them at a gas station. Simple as that! But if your a fan of stalk and slash stuff then you'll probably enjoy thi... read more

Cut to shit by producers, but all the gore in the world couldn't have made this a good film.

Same old story: teens get lost and stumble across Leatherface and his cannibalistic family. This film even gives the chainsaw-wielding-psycho some character - a stupid mummys boy - rendering him totally non-scary.
It's not a good film and I've already happily forgotten most of it. -

No continuity to these movies now (which bugs me) but this one is definitely better than the second. Take it for the horror flick that it is and not much more and then it's ok.

Lacks the clarity and identity of the earlier 1974 and 1986 installments. Full Review
It's certainly a cut above the standard late-'80s horror film, though hardly up to the level of Tobe Hooper's original. Full Review
Taken as a separate entity, this is a competently packaged horror movie that plays by the rules and delivers what the title promises: sadistic killers, whimpering victims, and chainsaws. Full Review
The blade is dull, but there's just enough to make it worth watching. Full Review
A failed attempt by New Line to reinvent the titular chainsawer into a Freddy Krueger-style villain. Full Review
Director Burr should never have shouted 'Cut.'
It's really just another generic slasher flick with nothing beyond the Leatherface connection to recommend it to discerning fans. Full Review
Rent CHAINSAW 2
Believe it or not, even horror movie fans like some meat in their stories. You should pardon the expression. Full Review
