Not as good as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider due to a lack of thrills and action sequences. At least the first one was capable of this and sticking even marginally to the video game's concept of Lara raiding tombs a bit more often. So I feel gamers will feel dissapointed. But I as a fi... read more

Semi average sequel to Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider The Cradle Of Life is a slight step down the first, but manages to be entertaining despite the the lack of a really exciting story. I personally felt that the first was better, and this sequel feels like it was rushed to... read more

The ending is better than the begining...but it's still not okay. Not a believeble dialouge...not so good effects. And a average plot. And that lead guy has such a zero talent face.

Not exactly as good as the first, but that's mainly due to the fact that they switched Daniel Craig with Gerard Butler for a supporting character. Angelina Jolie still does an incredible job and I admire her for making a very fun and lovable character.

Lara Croft finds a novelty bowling ball that can reveal the location of Pandora's Box if you play it a tune, and so sets off to get it before an evil scientist can get his hands on it and unleash a plague on mankind. This preposterous plot is a virtual carbon copy of the plot to ... read more

Jan de Bont had a nice start to his directing career with Speed and Twister, but up to this point, he hasn't done anything else that is spectacular. This is no exception. OK, but not great.
The plot is typical Tomb Raider and it is much smoother than the first i

Oh, all the crap I'll subject myself to just for Gerry.
Two main problems with this film:
1) There was absolutely no tension whatsoever between Lara and Terry.
2) There were so many utterly pointless scenes that had they been cut out, the film would've easily been the much nee... read more -

not as good as the first, but tomb raider is just sweet. there is something about this character and the way that jolie plays her that i cant get enough of. a good follow up to a well made action movie.
Critic Reviews
This Indiana Jones knockoff goes down smoothly enough, and Jolie isn't bad at all. Full Review
Scenery can't save this blindingly dull sequel.
Jolie remains more magazine cover than actress (or movie star), and the franchise she supports is more Nintendo after-school time killer than rousing adventure cycle. Full Review
Another sequel cashing in on its pre-sold audience without providing anything by way of sparkle, wit or originality. Full Review
For a movie based on a video game, the story is as far-fetched and the characters as one-dimensional as one might expect. Full Review
While there's compelling evidence that Angelina Jolie is a real person, you'd never guess it watching Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life. Full Review
Without sacrificing velocity, de Bont gives us a clean, watchable film, with some exciting sequences. Full Review
