Excellent dialogues are this movie's USP. It's good to stumble upon such films once in a while when surrounded by movies relying on actor's body language for most of the part. I'm not against it; it's just that such an entertaining change is more than welcome and quite entertaine... read more

When it comes to 1980s fantasy, there are three broad categories into which films can fall. There are those like Flesh & Blood, which get the balance between substance and silliness spot on, marrying Machiavellian mercenaries to grin-inducing battle scenes. There are those like E... read more

This medieval fairy tale by action specialist Richard Donner does look and feel dated from today's point of view but still has the heart-warming charm of a childhood favorite. While the soundtrack doesn't even try to hide its 80s heritage, the rest of the film feels medieval enou... read more

Bizarre, this from the man who made Superman the movie? Still, he made up for it by making The Goonies pretty soon afterwards. I can see why people like this film but I was never really into fairytale films and I doubt I would have liked it as a child. The soundtrack doesn't work... read more

This fantasy movie may have some cheesy music and a strange story, but it's pretty cool overall. I really liked it.

Super duper corny, with a soundtrack way off point. For me, it wasn't very enjoyable, because I need plot to get into a film. Maybe this cult romance classic can be compared to Ice Castles, but to me, it's a boring exaggeration.

One of those almost perfect movies with an 80s touch to it, the soundtrack is completely out of its mind. I love the story, it's a very different way of depicting a forbidden love and the revenge they must have. Rutger Hauer is completely and utterly a god among men, by far one o... read more

A knight and his lover are cursed by a spell that keeps them apart. By day he is a man and by night he is a wolf. Whereas by day she is a hawk and a woman by night. Great plot. Great cast.

Soundtrack is occasionally cheesy but the plot is engaging. One scene in particular is astonishingly heart-rending. Also notable is the fact that Rutger Hauer is not creepy in this film.

Ultra-romantic drama-adventure
Weak pacing makes for a difficult watching, despite the talented leads.
Magical mystical nonsense.
