March 29, 2012fb733768972This film tries to be far too informational, but comes off as pure hilarity due to the fact that the director has no contacts that are prepared to speak or any warrants to film anywhere, getting kicked out of every location he goes to. It really made me wonder, and raised some qu... read more

Nick Broomfield, controversially creates the documentary that many others have previously tried to do, looking into the many conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Kurt Cobain.
I guess it depends on your opinion on the subject as to whether this documentary is intrusive ... read more -

I can't believe this film even got to be shown to people. Incompetent director Broomfield chisels a conspiracy theory into what it really is: complete and total bullshit. This is an offensive, amateur and inexcusably sloppy effort that deserves no attention whatsoever. When deali... read more

Definitely an interesting film, but doesn't get where it sets out to go. Certainly brings some intriguing evidence that legitimately casts some suspicion about Cobain's death.
Most of this evidence is already public record however, and aside from some testimony in the form of ... read more -

Not the best documentary I've ever watched but it did hold my interest. It also makes you wonder if Courtney was involved in his death.

This documentry is based on the conspiricy threory that Cournty had something to do with Kurts murder. I am frustraited by documentrarys that waste the viewers time. The director himself becomes doubtfull of the conspiracy.... well why go through the effort in doing the movie. ... read more

less about a conspiracy and more about those who knew cobain. The filmmaker himself casts massive doubt on the conspiracy theories and rightly so.

Interesting documentary...
Not sure I buy into all the conspiracy-theory stuff espoused in the movie...but it was interesting none-the-less...
Good portrait of Cobain...I didn't realize how fast he went from "nothing" to "megastar"...then ultimately to nothing again quickly..... read more
Critic Reviews
Unsatisfying investigation of a sad story
A sloppy, irresponsible, self-promoting p.o.s. that documents little more than people with an axe to grind. Broomfield would be better off writing for the Enquirer.
Unintentionally hilarious, due to Broomfield's complete inability to get access to the people he needs to speak with.
Poorly constructed but with an undercurrent of truth that makes it intriguing
A sloppy but fascinating documentary. Broomfield finds some intriguing characters but doesn't know what "ACLU" stands for.
A sometimes intriguing, sometimes annoying film about the inability to make a proper documentary on its subject. Full Review
