    This was a very powerful story that describes the lives of ordinary North Koreans in the face of sickness, hunger and poverty. The production was excellent, and the storyline was believable.While there were elements of sentimentality, I did not find it was overdone.

    Beautiful c... read moreinematography in such an ugly backdrop. Outstanding acting performances supported a film of consistent pace and passionate portrayals. If it should win the Best Foreign Picture Academy Award, it won't surprise me. This sort of film making techniques with subject based on real events is worth to watch.
