Akemi and the man of her clan confront their opponents; Akemi delivers a sword thrust to kill the opponents' leader, and Aiko, his daughter, tries to interpose herself, suffering a glancing blow to he... read more read more...r eyes, thus cutting her badly, and blinding her. Amid the ensuing fight, no one notices that a black cat laps the young woman's wound. Years later, revenge between the two clans continue, plus added dissension amongst Akemi's people, leading to more deaths. A new member comes to help them, but she is a strange woman - and blind. The curse of the blind woman is about to fell on the dragon-lady.

    Stylishly made, The Blind Womans Curse suffers from having a cast of idiot characters. Almost every chaacter in the film is a idiot. And they are all aware of it, constantly refering to each other as idiots or jackasses. Its almost too much. But the actual film is gorgeously shot... read more. The swirling primary colors echos the likes of Bava and Argento. The sets themselves looks as if they were crafted by Bava himself at times. The attention to detail is incredible. There are times were the film looks otherworldly.
    The film is a bizzare mix of genres. Part Yakuza , horror and even a dose of Pinky Violence thrown into it. The film really relies on its look and the strong performance of Meiko Kaji. She is gorgeous and definatly commands your attention. The violence is brutal and bloody.
